Barstow Veterans Home welcomes cards, letters to vets
With Veterans Day just a few weeks away on Nov. 11, the Barstow Veterans Home invites the public to send a card or letter of support to residents of the veterans home. “Letters would certainly lift their spirits in this time of isolation that we are experiencing due to the pandemic,” said Laura Moraco, Public Information Officer. “VHC-Barstow Veteran Residents would love to hear from you! Send a letter. Our mission is to lift the spirits of our men and women of the Barstow Veterans Home during this trying time.”
Individuals, schools, churches, businesses and other organizations are invited to write letters and messages of appreciation and support to our residents that have so honorably served all of us. Letters may be addressed generally, since privacy and security restrictions don’t allow for release of the residents names.
Let’s thank our veterans and let them know we are thinking of them. You can be creative by including a picture or drawing and tell a veteran a little about yourself, your interests, etc. Letters, cards, or even a Christmas card may be addressed to:
